Director of IAI's Intelligence Factory, Adi Dolberg: "The modern battlefield relies on the electromagnetic space for whispering, communication and navigation."
The aerospace industry is launching the Scorpius family, the first electronic warfare (LA) system of its kind in the world with blocking reception capabilities and disruption of several threats at different frequencies and in different directions simultaneously.
The threats handled by the system are from a wide range and include, among others, aircraft, UAVs, ships, missiles, media and more. The technological breakthrough presented by Scorpius is in reception sensitivity, which makes it possible to detect a large number of threats with different characteristics at the same time, across a broad sector, and to deal simultaneously with each threat through a tailored response. The new technology increases the range of absorption, blocking and disruption through a staring multi-beam array (AESA).
The Scorpius family provides groundbreaking electronic warfare solutions for terrestrial, naval, and aerial space: Scorpius G is a portable ground-level LA system, installed on a vehicle and capable of rapid deployment. Navigation, and data transmission.
Scorpio G opens up a new category in the field of air defense: a "soft" air defense system, which produces an electronic protection umbrella over a wide geographical area, and neutralizes a wide range of modern threats in the area.
