The ranks of the Muslim Brotherhood are shrinking more and more in Turkey, especially after the latest announcement issued by the Turkish Internal Security Service, which included taking new steps and guidelines against a number of group members, while there are reports of huge embezzlement in its ranks.
Sources close to the group said today, Wednesday, that some of the group's leaders have decided to move to Syria and invest in it through local and Turkish partners.
Corruption is shaking the Muslim Brotherhood
According to the information, the Turkish authorities warned the brothers' leaders against taking huge sums of money out of the country, without obtaining security clearances from the competent authorities.
In this context, it was reported that some of them arrived in Lebanon weeks ago and settled there ahead of a trip to Europe, where officials transferred large sums of money in the name of foreigners from London, the United States, Latin America and Malaysia.
Sources said group members had tried to travel to Afghanistan in recent weeks, but Turkish internal security prevented them from doing so, adding that Ankara had given the brothers a chance by the end of the year to settle their status, preparing a list of others forced to leave its lands.
A huge embezzlement that creates controversy
In addition, the same sources revealed that there are internal disagreements between the group members in Turkey after huge embezzlement, which included smuggling money to London and the US and money laundering, and some suggest that there are other disagreements that erupted due to some not wanting to return to Egypt.
At the same time, Ankara suspended the renewal of residence permits for a number of individuals and also refused to renew residency until the end of the security investigations, while a number of them waived Egyptian citizenship and decided to retain another foreign citizenship for security reasons, after leaving Turkey in the near future.
