Defense Minister Benny Gantz said tonight (Tuesday), during his speech to the Conference of Presidents of Jewish Organizations in North America, that Iran provided Venezuela with unmanned aerial vehicles and advanced armaments for them as well as knowledge for self-production of these aircraft.
During the speech, Ganz revealed images of Iran's advanced UAV model "Mohajer 6", presented by the President of Venezuela a few weeks ago. "R6 and other UAV models have been sent from Iran to Venezuela recently," Ganz said.
He noted that in his meetings with defense ministers from around the world, including from Africa and Latin America, the latter had expressed concern about Iran's support for terrorist-supporting countries and terrorist organizations in their region.
Gantz said that if there is a nuclear deal between Iran and the superpowers, "it is not the end of the verse but the beginning of the actions we must take."
Gantz added: "There is no doubt that the enforcement and supervision of the IAEA is critical - but it is not enough. "Even if an agreement is signed, offensive capabilities and a package of significant sanctions must be prepared in case Iran sooner or later violates it."
