During a conference held in Jordan that dealt with the question of the nuclear agreement with Iran, the former ambassador warned that there is a trend of "Shiaization" in Jordanian mosques, which is driven by pro-Iranian movements inside Jordan.
According to Amos, through the so-called "religious tourism" Iran aims to deepen its penetration into Jordan as it did in Syria with the Seida Zainab area in Damascus, which is considered a holy place in the eyes of the Shiites, where the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad is buried.
