The Damascus Gate: Arabs blame riots on "boredom of Arab youth"

Forces arrived at the scene towards evening, following the riots that broke out yesterday, during which buses were pelted with stones and 22 suspects were arrested.

MK Ben Gvir and MK Smutrich arrived at the scene, according to the latter "following the loss of governance." East Jerusalem residents against the riots: "What happened is shame"

The residents of East Jerusalem are also having a hard time finding a solution to the phenomenon of clashes with the police forces at the Damascus Gate. Daoud Siam, a social activist in East Jerusalem, told Walla !: "The problem is that we are looking for peace and not a solution. There are a lot of young people here who have nothing to do. So there are the Jews who come to the Damascus gate and then fights develop, We are going to the Damascus Gate to stop the Jews who came to make a mess."

"The youth in East Jerusalem have nothing to keep them busy, they have no activities, no classes, if there was something to keep them busy we would not see these events. Unfortunately it will not end. It will be quiet here and there but it will repeat itself. People are bored and desperate."

Abu Malek al-Egloni, a resident of East Jerusalem and a well-known figure in Tiktok, also objected to the conduct of the Arab youths documented in a video uploaded last night: What is the use of what you do? What happened is a shame."
