Houthis refuse to continue ceasefire in Yemen War

NEWSRAEL: It seems as though the War in Yemen, after several months of an UN-brokered ceasefire was in effect will now continue. This probably has more to do with the Houthis patron, Iran wanting to put pressure on Saudi Arabi and the Gulf states than anything to do with Yemen itself.

The Houthi rebel group in Yemen has announced that it refuses to continue the ceasefire in the country and described it as a "disappointing attempt".

According to Arab media, the organization issued a statement on its behalf stating that "the aggressive side did not comply with the ceasefire clauses and therefore cannot be continued in the future." The organization denied in a statement the reports on the understandings surrounding the UN-mediated ceasefire extension in the country. Recall, the humanitarian ceasefire began in Yemen last February first for two months and then extended again.
