The somewhat strange expectation of the UAE minister

Abdullah bin Tok Al-Emeri, the Emirati's economy minister, surprised today by declaring that his country aims for bilateral trade with Israel to reach $1 trillion in 2031. During a press conference, he expressed hope that the two countries would expand cooperation on a range of areas from health to climate change.

Almeri did not explain what the $1 trillion target is based on as bilateral trade estimates this year will approach $1 billion. This is a handsome sum if one considers that the open agreement between the countries is only a year old but its increase within a decade to a trillion seems quite ambitious.

It's not impossible as long as both countries are committed to working amicably and with transparency. With God all things are possible to those who believe.
