The Israeli Air Force moves up a notch

The purchase of transport helicopters, refueling, stealth and soon also new F-15s, all of these, will allow the Israeli corps to remain relevant in the coming decades as well.

At the last moment of 2021 the Israeli Air Force rose a notch. This will not happen tomorrow, but in a few years, but he is now officially promised the acquisition of new, state-of-the-art aircraft - four refueling planes and about a dozen transport helicopters made by the world's two leading security production leaders Boeing and Lockheed Martin, a longtime Israeli Air Force partner.

Without bothering to hide the future mission options of the new aircraft, Defense Minister Benny Gantz said: "We continue to strengthen, change, and adapt the Air Force to the near future challenges, and especially those far from Israel's borders." The Ministry of Defense said in an official statement: "The purchase of the platforms is part of a large-scale process to strengthen capabilities and build strength in the IDF in the face of existing and future threats, including in the "third circle"."

"Far from the borders of Israel" and "Third Circle" is a codeword called Iran. A former senior Air Force officer said the whole ‘mighty’ stealthy fighter jet deal with the F-35 is not worth much without new refueling jets. Because the F-15 and F-16 fighter jets of all types and all other aircraft will need to refuel in the air on flights to distant Iran and back, or for any other distant purpose in the region.

Bomb missions

There is F-15 and there is F-15 I, there is 'beige' and there is 'thunder'. There is an Apache 'Compass' model A and there is a 'Resin' model D. They all fly, but are veterans. As for the purchase of the advanced model F-15 AI (Boeing), a decision has already been made, and probably during the current year the documents will be signed Will begin the aircraft production stages for Israel.

It is no secret that F-15s for their models will carry the heaviest burden of bombing and destroying distant and high-quality targets due to the range, the enormous carrying capacity of these aircraft and their advanced radar.

The purchase list signed this weekend also includes "a new squadron of 'mighty' F-35s" (Lockheed Martin). The goal is to reach 50 aircraft and that includes a test aircraft in a flight test squadron. Three 'mighty' squadrons are already operating at the base in the south, with the third squadron used mainly for training.

In any scenario of a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, it was said that F-35s would be the first to approach target areas due to the evasive feature, when invisible to enemy radar, followed by waves of additional attack aircraft.
