Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar who left the Likud Party after his rift with Netanyahu, ran in an independent party "New Hope" and joined in the current Bennett-Lapid government has said that an IDF "ground operation" was Gaza a possibility.

In a report by Arutz 7 News, the Justice Minister was reported as saying that there was "No solution to Gaza problem in foreseeable future. The government may have to rethink paradigm with Hamas-run territory."
