The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain today (Saturday) issued an official announcement regarding the appointment of an Israeli officer in the Bahraini army, explaining the nature of the appointment and the mission of this officer in this context.

According to Bahrain's news agency, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "What was published in foreign media about the appointment of an Israeli officer comes as part of arrangements related to an international coalition that includes more than 34 countries."

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry explained that the mission of this alliance is to ensure freedom of navigation in the region's territorial waters, to protect international trade, in addition to dealing with acts of piracy and terrorism in the region.
