Arab news site Shebab News reports that a Russian Foreign ministry statements claims Israeli "mercenaries" are fighting with "Azov" (the units the Russian claim are "Nazis")

Fact check: Several Jewish immigrants from Ukraine that immigrated to Israel and served in the IDF have been fighting since the beginning of the War in Ukraine, but in the Kyiv area, and not in Mariupol where the "Azov" battalion is fighting.

They are their as volunteers and not "mercenaries".
