Daoud Jaafari was an expert in air defense and UAVs and that he was killed along with his Syrian bodyguard from a road bomb explosion that was set off on their vehicle in the southern suburbs of Damascus.

Sources also reported that Jaafari was present in Syria for a long period of time and worked on developing the capabilities of Iranian UAVs.

At the same time, a source associated with the pro-Iranian militias confirms to the AP news agency the report according to which Jaafari was killed in an explosion near the international airport in the south of the capital Damascus.
