It is enough to mention that during the nuclear negotiations, Iran demanded from the Biden administration that the name of the guards be removed from the terrorist list in order to understand the importance that Iran attaches to the matter. 

In the end, the Iranian insistence on this clause was an important factor in the failure of the negotiations.
 
It should be remembered that the Revolutionary Guards are the most significant economic force in the Iranian economy and there is a claim that they control 70% of the Iranian market through a branched network of companies. 

The news about the expected decision of the European Union crushed the Iran Rial in the last few days and also increased the demand for gold since the traders realize that from now on it will be more difficult for the guards to conduct and maintain their smuggling activities (although there is always Russia...)
 
Just a few days ago, the Iranian budget for the coming year included a section of 3 billion dollars for the IRGC, three times as much as for the Iranian army. 

However, according to estimates, the Revolutionary Guards make about 17 billion dollars a year.
