An impressive show of strength yesterday by masses of protesters in Abadan in southern Iran.

Protesters against the regime were also joined by protesters in other cities in southern Iran: Maasur, Hamra and Ahuaz.
Ahuaz is the Arab region of Iran, in the south of the country (which is also the most deprived despite the wealth of natural resources in this region), takes to the streets.

This is a very strategic area of Iran which forms the coast with the Persian Gulf. Ironically, the Arabs of this region have secret, but close ties to Israel.
