Gershon HaCohen, an outstanding IDF corps commander, and commander of the Military released a statement on his Twitter account stating that:

“It is not clear how the Foreign Minister of the Jewish state denies the supreme sanctity of the Temple Mount to Jews. It seems to be a combination of Jewish denial, or surrender to Arab blackmail….Jewish honor is humiliated and there is no one in the government to protect it."
