Two Israeli girls won a gold and silver medal at the European Girls' Mathematics Olympiad this morning. The gold winner is Noga Friedman, a ninth-grade student from De Shalit Middle School in Rehovot, and the silver medal was awarded to Yaara Shulman, a tenth-grade student from Rishonim High School in Herzliya. 213 contestants from 54 countries around the world participated in the competition, and Israel finished in ninth place among them.
