During a sermon in the "holy" Al-Aqsa mosque: Palestinian Islamic scholar Issam Amira said in a speech posted to the Al-Aqsa Call YouTube channel that Britain is the “mother of all crimes and disasters.”

He blamed Britain for the Palestinian nakba, for the “humiliation” the Palestinians are suffering, and for the world’s crises throughout history.
He criticized the leaders of Muslim countries for offering their condolences over the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II.
He added: “May Allah curse Britain.”
