After hours of searches, Israeli authorities, along with volunteers, located Friday morning the two missing Palestinians who were swept by strong winds from the west in the Dead Sea.
The two were identified via a drone about 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) away from Metzoke Dragot Beach.
A private boat reached them and transferred the individuals to the beach. They received first medical aid and were then admitted to a Palestinian hospital in medium condition.
The two persons rescued arrived for vacation from Ramallah and Bethlehem, entered the water around 7 P.M. and remained in the salty Dead Sea for some 8 hours.
