Israeli Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit has refused PM Netanyahu’s request to review all of the files pertaining to his case. According to Mandelblit, defendants receive access to their case files only when an indictment is officially submitted to the courts. Sources close to Netanyahu have stated the following: “How can you fight for the truth if the case files are hidden from you? Case files which allude to extortion of state witnesses, arbitrary enforcement of the law, and fabricating legal precedents that have no basis in human history?” “Whoever acts without transparency probably wants to achieve a predictable result. Anything that can help defend Netanyahu and reveal the truth is being blocked, whereas anything that can prevent him from running for reelection and winning is being promoted at all costs”.
