U.S. Government to Discuss Israeli Sovereignty Top U.S Government officials are scheduled to meet this week to discuss the enactment of Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria ahead of PM Netanyahu’s set date of July 1st. U.S Ambassador to Israel David Friedman is set to return to Washington to meet with Secretary of State Mike Pomeo, Jared Kushner and his replacement as Special Representative for International Negotiations, Avi Berkowitz. President Trump might join the talks as well. One of the options to be discussed is a gradual enactment of sovereignty, starting with settlements near Jerusalem, as opposed to PM Netanyahu’s original proposal of 30% of Judea and Samaria territories.
