Meet Rozalia, an 86 year old Holocaust survivor.
“The COVID-19 situation is not easy”, said Rozalia. “I stay at home all day, I don’t go out because I’m afraid to get infected with the CoronaVirus. I haven’t seen my grandchildren and great-grandchildren in over a month and I miss them a lot”.
“A few days ago”, Rozalia continues with excitement, “my grandson Boris called me and said that he is beginning to do his IDF reserve duties in my city that day, as part of the Home Front Command. It was a surprise to see him next to my building, I was very emotional”.
“I am proud of him for helping all the residents of the city”, adds Rozalia. “I even gave him some chocolates and candies to give to the city’s children and say it’s from Grandma Roza”.
Today, as part of the IDF Reserve Array Recognition Day, we would like to say to Boris and to all of the reserve soldiers: Thank you.
