World’s Biggest Beach Clean-up is Underway! The Nature and Parks Authority has launched a national Beach Clean-up Day throughout Israel, the largest of its kind in the world! The event is taking place in about 100 beaches, all across Israel. From Rosh Hanikrah up north until Ashkelon down south on the Mediterranean Sea beaches, all around the Sea of Galilee and even in Eilat beaches at the Red Sea shores! Participating in the Beach Clean-up Day are volunteers, environment activists and good citizens. The goal of the event, in addition to enjoying friendlier and healthier beaches, is to raise awareness as to the importance of clean oceans.
