Inner Turmoil in Blue and White Surfaces as Elections Near Blue and white chairman Benny Gantz is holding a series of meetings with his party members as part of the preparations for the election and following a major internal crisis in the party. Among others, he met with the three rebels MKs in his party - Assaf Zamir, Ram Shefa, and Miki Haimovich - who voted last week against postponing the budget approval, contrary to the party's position. MK Assaf Zamir will not run as part of Blue and White in the upcoming elections. Gantz told him at their meeting that he will not be included in the list for the 24th Knesset election. According to Zamir, Gantz's decision came after he voted against postponing the dissolution of the Knesset last week. A similar announcement was made in regard to Haimovich. Shefa's future with the party is still unclear. Gantz has been in quarantine since last Monday. Upon coming out of the quarantine he began to update the party members that he had decided to continue to lead Blue and White. However, it is not clear whether the party's leadership will continue with him - Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn is considering running within another center-left party and Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi is debating whether to continue with Blue and White.
