WATCH: Netanyahu to Dr. Phil — October 7 gave antisemites a false moral cover
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the surge in global antisemitism following October 7 during an interview with Dr. Phil, arguing that it has been fueled by massive online disinformation portraying Israel as the aggressor rather than the victim.
Responding to Dr. Phil’s question about whether the Hamas massacre gave people a sense of “moral authority” to express antisemitism, Netanyahu said Israel has been falsely accused of genocide despite taking extraordinary steps to protect civilians — even at the cost of Israeli soldiers’ lives. He stressed that Israel targets terrorist infrastructure precisely instead of leveling entire areas, while Hamas deliberately places civilians in harm’s way.
Netanyahu explained that when Israel urges Gazan civilians to evacuate combat zones, Hamas actively prevents them from leaving — even shooting at those who attempt to escape. He emphasized that Hamas’s ideology is not limited to hatred of Israel, but also targets the West broadly, chanting “Death to America” and persecuting minorities, especially Christians.
