Gideon Levy reveals: My Swedish wife did a complete political reversal after October 7
In a rare personal disclosure, veteran Haaretz journalist Gideon Levy shared that his wife—a non-Jewish Swedish author who moved to Israel at 16 as a pro-Palestinian activist—underwent a dramatic ideological shift after Hamas’ October 7 massacre.
Speaking on a special panel aired by Tzohar Rabbis' “Meshav” channel, Levy described how the attack deeply shook his wife, changing her worldview. “She totally flipped,” Levy said. “Now she fights for causes she once opposed. It’s the biggest test we’ve faced as a couple.”
He added that she’s even aligning with the views of far-right MK Tzvi Succot, despite not speaking Hebrew.
