Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he spoke with US Vice President JD Vance, who updated him on the collapse of negotiations with Iran.
According to Netanyahu, the talks broke down after Iran violated a key understanding to halt hostilities and immediately reopen strategic waterways, including the vital straits.
Netanyahu said the American side could not accept what he described as a blatant breach of the agreement.
He added that Vance emphasized President Trump’s central demand: the complete removal of enriched nuclear material and a long-term guarantee that Iran will not resume uranium enrichment, potentially for decades. Netanyahu stressed that Israel supports Trump’s firm stance, including the proposed naval blockade on Iran.
