Private Dan Mendel Philipson, a soldier in training with the IDF Paratroopers Brigade, has died of his wounds.  

Philipson’s funeral was on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem.

Dan, an 18-year-old lone soldier from Oslo, made Aliyah to serve in the IDF and passed away prematurely during his training.

The Israel Defense Forces have not released further details about the incident, which remains under investigation.
