President Trump’s Board of Peace rejected UNRWA’s demand to continue operating in Gaza, saying the future of the Strip cannot be built on the same system of aid dependency, incitement and conflict.
The Board of Peace responded to the US Mission to the UN, which said UN member states now face a clear choice: continue funding UNRWA, or support a new path through the Board of Peace that gives Gazans a chance for peace and prosperity.
The message was blunt: “UNRWA has no place in the new Gaza.” The Board said it is time to turn the page on the old model that helped preserve the refugee narrative instead of building a real future for Gaza’s residents.
The statement comes as the UN and UNRWA continue pressing donor countries for more funds, while the Trump plan seeks to replace the failed structures that kept Gaza locked in the grip of radicalism and dependency.
