Israeli-Arab citizen held in Lebanon almost a year, released
Salah Abu-Hussein, an Israeli-Arab citizen who was held captive in Lebanon for about a year, was returned to Israel this afternoon.

After negotiations that took place in recent months with the assistance of the Red Cross, the citizen was transferred at the Rosh Hanikra crossing from the Lebanese authorities to the coordinator of the Northern Command, Brigadier General (res.) Gal Hirsch.
After interrogation and an initial medical examination, the citizen was transferred by the IDF for comprehensive tests at the hospital, after which he will meet his family.
The circumstances of the event are under investigation by the security forces.
