On July 18, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hosted Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz to congratulate him on Israel's impressive achievements in the 12-day war, which paved the way for the resounding success of Operation "Midnight Hammer." 

The Secretary praised Israel's readiness to act decisively and lead its own defense. The Secretary emphasized that the U.S. Department of Defense will continue to support Israel's ability to defend itself, as part of President Trump's policy of achieving peace through strength. 

The two leaders agreed to work together to address common threats and promote peace in the region.
