As part of the recent wave of mysterious explosions and fires, local sources in Kazeroon, located in Fars Province, report a powerful blast and fire at an ammunition warehouse belonging to the Imam Sajjad Ranger Brigade of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Some of the brigade’s ammunition stockpiles are reportedly hidden in underground tunnels carved into the slopes of nearby mountains.
Massive explosions and flames were heard and seen coming from the underground areas used by the Imam Sajjad Ranger Brigade. This unit is part of the IRGC’s ground forces and is based in several military compounds in Kazeroon, including along Natanz Street and in the Bishapur neighborhood.
The explosion appears to have occurred in subterranean ammunition depots used by this Iranian commando brigade.
