The Muslim Brotherhood has built extensive networks of organizations, financial structures and influence operations across Germany and Italy, according to new reports by Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism.
The German network reportedly includes approximately 12,000 people with ideological or organizational connections to the Brotherhood. Its influence is concentrated in major regions including Berlin, Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia.
The reports warn that Brotherhood-linked organizations operate through decentralized groups that frequently rebrand themselves and present a moderate public image. They focus heavily on mosques, education, youth programs, religious outreach and training future community leaders.
Although the organizations appear independent, Israeli officials say their activities are coordinated by a small nucleus of senior activists. Their financial infrastructure reportedly includes charities, donations, businesses and real-estate holdings, with some funding channels connected to Qatar and Kuwait.
