A senior ally of US President Donald Trump is urging Washington to reconsider its military presence in Spain after the Spanish government refused to support the recent US-Israel military offensive against Iran.
FOX NEWS -- Republican Senator Lindsey Graham publicly called for the relocation of American bases in Spain, arguing that the United States should not maintain strategic military infrastructure in countries unwilling to support key security operations.
Speaking in an interview on Fox News, Graham said he would urge President Donald Trump to move American air bases out of Spain.
“Tonight I urge President Trump to move all of our bases out of Spain,” Graham said. “I want our air bases out of Spain and moved to a country that will allow us to use them.”
