Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian's visit to Qatar this week dealt not only with the regional situation but also with economic issues.
At the end of his visit, the Iranian president said that "understandings have been reached" with Qatar regarding the 6 billion dollars that belong to Iran but are held in Qatari banks. He did not say what understandings were reached and the Qatari side did not comment on the issue either.
I will mention that last September, as part of a prisoner exchange deal between Iran and the West, 6 billion dollars belonging to Iran were thawed and transferred to banks in Qatar. However, following the October 7 attack, the US decided not to allow the Ayatollahs' regime access to this money.
