Izz ad-Din al-Qassam was many things. A member of Hamas since its early years, one of the last senior Hamas leaders involved in planning the October 7th massacre, and later the head of Hamas's military wing.
During the war, he surrounded himself with hostages in an attempt to prevent his elimination. Al-Qassam was eliminated in a precise aerial strike in Gaza City.
As it is known, while we were editing this video, the IDF eliminated Izz ad-Din al-Qassam's replacement, Muhammad Odeh, who held his role for approximately 2 weeks. As part of his role, he was responsible for planning and coordinating Hamas terrorist infiltration and attacks during the October 7th massacre.
We will not allow any terrorist to attempt to threaten Israeli civilians. And judging by recent events, head of Hamas's military wing is becoming a very short-term position.
