At the meeting of Israel’s cabinet on Sunday, it was decided to establish a dedicated ministerial committee to combat road accidents.
With the aim of focusing government effort on a coordinated approach between all government agencies related to the issue of road safety and the fight against road accidents. The committee will be chaired by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Transportation and Road Safety will be his permanent deputy. The committee will include the finance minister, national security minister, the health minister and the justice minister.
In addition, with the aim of bringing together all the information regarding the activities of all government agencies related to the issue of the war on traffic accidents in the hands of one agency, with the aim of improving the inclusion and management of all government activity on the issue in a coordinated manner, it was decided at the cabinet meeting to require all ministries dealing in the area of the war on traffic accidents to report and deliver information to the National Road Safety Authority.
