The world’s tolerance for Qatar’s duplicitous foreign policy has reached a breaking point.
For far too long, the small but immensely wealthy Gulf state has been allowed to play both arsonist and firefighter—funding terror on one hand, while posing as a mediator and partner to the West on the other. This dangerous game must end. The West can no longer afford to ignore the malign role Qatar plays in spreading radical Islam, financing terrorism, and undermining the very values the U.S. and its allies claim to defend.
The evidence is overwhelming. Qatar is the primary financial and political lifeline of Hamas, providing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to the terrorist organization that rules Gaza with an iron fist and wages relentless war against Israel. Beyond Hamas, Qatar remains the global headquarters for the Muslim Brotherhood’s exiled leadership, giving shelter, funding, and a media megaphone to an organization whose stated aim is to topple secular governments and replace them with an Islamist caliphate.
But it doesn’t stop there. From the Taliban in Afghanistan to extremist factions in Libya and Syria, Qatar has repeatedly provided safe haven, arms, and cash to jihadist groups responsible for rivers of blood across the Middle East and beyond. This is not accidental. It is state policy. It is the heart of Qatar’s strategy to buy influence through terror proxies.
