A senior Iranian political-security official told Lebanon’s Al Mayadeen that Tehran has received multiple ceasefire proposals through regional mediators — but is demanding six far-reaching conditions before agreeing to end the war.
According to the official, Iran’s شروط include guarantees the war will not resume, the closure of US military bases in the region, financial compensation for damages, an end to all regional conflicts, enforcement of a new legal order in the Strait of Hormuz, and even the prosecution and extradition of journalists accused of hostile coverage toward Iran.
The source added that Iran intends to continue its campaign of “punishing the aggressor” until what it called “American and Zionist aggression” — as well as President Donald Trump — “learn a historic lesson.” He claimed Iran is operating according to a structured plan prepared months in advance.
