They probably didn’t teach you this in Sunday school. The Bible describes an angel wiping out 185,000 Assyrian soldiers overnight, and right here in Jerusalem sits a 2,700-year-old artifact from that same war: the Assyrian king’s own prism.
It lists the cities Assyria conquered.
It names Hezekiah, king of Judah.
But what it doesn’t say is just as important; there is no claim that Jerusalem was captured.
