The IDF continues its sustained campaign against Iran’s Basij militia, targeting the regime’s internal enforcement arm deep inside Tehran.
As part of Operation “Roaring Lion,” Israeli forces have now struck more than 10 Basij positions across the capital, following the elimination of senior commander Gholam Reza Soleimani.
According to the IDF, hundreds of command centers and control hubs belonging to the Revolutionary Guards and Basij have already been destroyed in recent weeks. After repeated strikes forced the militia to abandon central headquarters, intelligence identified a shift to improvised positions embedded within civilian areas across Tehran.
In response, the Israeli Air Force—guided by precise intelligence—launched coordinated strikes on these newly identified positions. Among the targets was an emergency command post operating out of a former football club, highlighting what Israel says is the regime’s systematic use of civilian infrastructure as cover for military activity.
