Qatar drew the conclusions from 2017

Qatar's tendency to close the Hamas office in its territory or at least announce it is a direct result of the election of Donald Trump as US President.

Qatar prepared well for the US elections and during the month of September the Emir personally met with Trump at his mansion to avoid surprises.

The Qataris remember very well what happened in 2017 when President Trump visited Saudi Arabia and a day later the Saudis announced an Arab boycott of Qatar on the grounds of "terrorist financing".

The Qataris fear new American legislation and steps against them from their connection to Hamas.

They’re shaking in their boots and rightfully so. Their best option is to round up Hamas leaders and turn them over to Israel, or kiss their butts goodbye.
