Russian Navy reinforcement in Syria shows fear of escalation
Russian warships from the Northern Fleet are on their way to the port of Tartus for fear of a possible escalation

Russia has sent warships from its Northern Fleet to the port of Tartus in western Syria, and they are due to arrive on Syrian shores next week, after a journey lasting several weeks.
TASS quoted a source close to the Russian Navy as saying, "Next week, several ships of the Northern Fleet, consisting of the frigate Admiral Gorshkov and the tanker "Akademik Pashin", will arrive at the port of Tartus in Syria, where the logistics support center of the Russian Navy is located."
The frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" is a modern multipurpose ship equipped with guided missiles.
