Microsoft reportedly turned to the FBI to help identify employees behind pro-Palestinian activism inside the company, Bloomberg revealed.
The employees in question were allegedly part of a “Campaign for Gaza” initiative, which sought to pressure Microsoft into cutting business ties with Israel. According to the report, those involved were dismissed from the company after being flagged for working against its policies and interests.
The revelation underscores growing tensions within major U.S. corporations over the war in Gaza and their ties to Israel. Tech companies, in particular, have seen internal protests and petitions from employees urging management to take political stances.
Microsoft’s decision to involve federal law enforcement reflects how seriously it treated the matter and raises broader questions about surveillance of employee activism within the corporate sector.
