The Torah teaches that those who bless us will be blessed; and those who curse us will be cursed.
While the International Court of Justice, the U.N.'s world court, is considering charging IDF reservists with "war crimes" and has judges that say there is "plausability" to South Africa's claims of genocide leveled at Israel; another U.N. agency may be about to shut down.
The UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East) has been supposedly sending aid to Gaza, but it has now been shown to have been actively supporting Hamas. UNRWA employees have been credibly shown to not just be sending money designated for humanitarian aid to Hamas, but allowing UNRWA facilities to house terrorists. As of today, they have even been shown to have taken part in the Oct. 7 massacre... including raping women, transporting dead IDF soldiers, and smuggling ammunitions.
As a result of these discoveries, more and more nations have pulled their funding from the UNRWA. Today, the European Union said it is investigating the organization, and the agency released a statement today that unless funding is resumed, the UNRWA will "not be able to continue its operations and practices across the region, including Gaza, beyond the end of February".
The U.N. attacks Israel in court, and now one of their larger agencies may have to close. It doesn't matter if we call it karma, God's protection of Israel, or just good luck...this means that a powerful arm of the U.N. may be shuttered.
The Torah teaches that those who bless us will be blessed; and those who curse us will be cursed. Maybe the U.N. should remember the truth of that biblical statement as their attacks against Israel are met with a loss of financial support.
It might not be politically correct for a Rabbi to hope for the dissolution of a U.N. agency. But that too is the truth, and may we soon see all agencies that are in fact actively attacking Israel and supporting Hamas be exposed and dissolved.
