Ihud Hetzala online spokesmen - South District: The medical teams of Ihud Hetzala provided medical assistance to a 20-year-old man who suffered from heatstroke during a trip to Nahal Arugot - Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.
Nehemiah Trachtenberg, a medic at the Rescue Union who treated the victim, said:
"During a trip to Nahal Ergot, I received a call about an unconscious man in the stream bed. When I reached him, he was suffering from severe heat stroke and was unconscious. I gave him life-saving first aid, which included cooling and infusing fluids.
He was later rescued from the river channel by a helicopter of the IDF's Unit 669 and is being referred for further treatment by the helicopter as his condition at this stage is determined to be critical."
