After four months of operations, Golani troops have crossed the Litani and Saluki rivers, captured strategic ridges and dismantled extensive Hezbollah infrastructure.
Golani Brigade reconnaissance troops and soldiers from Battalions 12 and 13 have spent four months conducting deep operations in Lebanon, advancing through Hezbollah strongholds and reaching strategic locations including the Litani River, the Saluki River, the Yohmor Ridge and Beaufort Castle.
Golani’s reconnaissance unit helped lead the capture of Beaufort and operated independently near the Litani. The troops fought Hezbollah terrorists, opened routes through difficult terrain and discovered large quantities of weapons hidden inside homes and even an ambulance.
At Beaufort, the troops faced explosive drones and mortar fire before reaching the fortress. Hezbollah had prepared combat positions, sleeping areas and supplies for a prolonged deployment, but its terrorists fled before Israeli troops arrived.
