Staff Sergeant Daniel Nachmani dies after being injured during operations in northern Israel
Staff Sergeant Daniel Nachmani of Kfar Saba fell in battle, the IDF said Tuesday afternoon.
Nachmani, 21, fought in Battalion 71 of the 188th Brigade, and was injured in battle on Friday, during operation activity in northern Israel.
Sergeant Nachmani was mortally wounded by shrapnel in his head as a result of anti-tank fire, in a battle in which Sergeant Amit Hod Ziv was killed.
The medics stabilized his condition in the field and he was taken by helicopter to a hospital.
On Sunday, Nachmani died of his wounds.
His family has been notified.
"The IDF shares in the sorrow of the family and will continue to support them," the IDF said.
