"The Men of Dignity Movement" in Suwayda in southern Syria demanded that the armed Druze men who wanted to join the side of Sheikh "Layt al-Balous" return the weapons in their possession to the movement.
"Al-Balous" himself accused the Druze movement of a lack of weapons after the killing of his father, and also accused them of collaborating with Hezbollah and the Syrian military intelligence.
The collaboration with Hezbollah breaks with the Druze's long commitment to being neutral in area conflicts.
One of the main reasons for establishing the movement is to maintain the neutrality of the Druze community without entering into a war in favor of one of the parties, and therefore the most important goals of the movement were to protect the Druze youth from joining one of the parties in the Syrian conflict.
