Israel faces a religiously driven Jihadist enemy that cannot be deterred by conventional means.
The war against Hamas in Gaza is not a political conflict but a Jihad — a religious mission in which the terrorists view death as honor. Because of this ideology, they cannot be deterred through diplomacy, threats, or international pressure.
In such a reality, only a nation fighting for its existence can defeat an enemy that openly seeks its annihilation. Israel’s military force is therefore the only mechanism capable of imposing full demilitarization in Gaza and preventing Hamas and other terror groups from rebuilding their capabilities.
Attempts by external powers to enforce demilitarization have repeatedly failed in the region. Only the IDF, operating with clarity of purpose and an understanding of the enemy’s ideology, can ensure that Gaza will no longer serve as a launchpad for Jihadist violence against Israel.
