BREAKING: Canadian authorities have foiled an Iranian assassination attempt

Canadian authorities have thwarted an Iranian attempt to assassinate Irwin Cotler, a former Canadian justice minister and attorney general.

Canadian authorities had been tracking two suspects, but would not say if they had been detained or had left the country.
